Group Session Hours

• Attend group classes on the days and times assigned for each unit.

• Only PC, laptop, or tablet access is permitted. Taking the class in airports, while walking, driving, etc., is not allowed.

• Google Classroom platform is used to track all assignments; there is no additional cost.

Spiritual Care Practicum Hours

The student must complete 300 hours of spiritual care practice

• Divided across the weeks of the unit.

• Hours of practice before or after the unit do not count.

• Provide direct spiritual care, individually or in groups, such as pastoral visits, in-person prayer, counseling, acting as a chaplain or spiritual care provider, under the supervision of an authorized preceptor.

CPE Unit Structure

• 100 Hours of Group Session Theoretical (Virtual and Individual Education)

• 300 Hours Spiritual Care Education Practice (In Person)

Spiritual Care Practice Sites

Spiritual Care Practice Sites can be any location that requires spiritual care services and has sufficient space to accommodate 300 hours of practice.

Examples include: Mental health centers, Hospices, Places of Worship, Hospitals, Corporate offices, Foundations, Shelters and Others.

PLEASE NOTE: HEARTS Online CPE does not offer connections to Spiritual Practice Sites. Each student is responsible for securing a Spiritual Practice Site. HEARTS Online CPE will provide guidance on agreements and requested information will be provided.

Preceptor

This person would supervise the student's spiritual care practices, guide them, and provide feedback on their performance. Therefore, they should have advanced studies or experience in their field. Their participation is active throughout the unit.

Administrative Representative

Their sole function is to authorize the Place of Practice Agreement; therefore, they must be an authority figure such as a supervisor, manager, or high-ranking official of the institution who can authorize their practice at that place.

Tuition and Fees

Initial Application Fee: $25 USD (Non-Refundable)

Deposit fee required to secure your place in the unit once you have been accepted : $300 USD (Non-Refundable)

Tuition Fee: $3500 USD (Non-refundable, includes deposit fee)
